Here are TWO excellent programs for international not-for-profit arts managers—please share with your members. Visit here for more info: http://www.kennedy-center.org/education/artsmanagement/fellowships.cfm#IntFellowships
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts offers valuable skills building for arts managers through the Fellowship Program. The program provides up to 10 highly motivated, disciplined, and creative arts managers the instruction and experience they need to succeed in today’s complex arts environment. Fellowships are full-time and last 9 months starting in September and ending in May. The program emphasizes excellence, creativity, economic problem solving, strategic planning, internationalism, and a commitment to new technologies. Fellows receive an annual stipend of $20,000 (paid bi-weekly) to help defray housing and transportation costs. Course materials, and reimbursement for health insurance are provided to Fellows. Applications for the 2011-2012 Fellowship Program must be postmarked no later than April 1.
The DeVos Institute Summer International Fellowship Program at the Kennedy Center is an immersive program of study in arts management strategy. For four weeks each summer, for three consecutive years, international fellows participate in seminars, group projects, individual mentorships and practical rotations supervised by Institute faculty and Center senior staff. In their home countries, fellows are encouraged to teach and distribute fellowship resources. In this way, the Institute invests in critical arts ecologies worldwide, building strength and sustainability one manager at a time. The Kennedy Center has hosted 54 Fellows in four classes from 36 countries. Fellows receive the per diem (daily allowance) for Meals and Incidental Expenses as determined per program year. Applications are currently being accepted until December 1, 2011.
